Part 19 : Rice Farm

Finally getting into the bulk of the work here deciding to do a doco on the Rice Farmers with a broken water pump, + interview, mushroom farmers, + interview and the weavers of the 790 Camp, + interview.

I found that my time in Vientiane was pretty good. Its a completely different take on the travel thing that most people end up doing. ie tubing and partying a lot. Going into the whole thing I did expect to be associated with more volunteers and in the end it was jus a real close relationship with myself and Souly.

Going out and filming the farmer I thought was alot of fun, not only because I was out and about getting to meet the people and experiencing Lao culture but also because Souly is hilarious when she get on camera. I would say that she can get infront of the camera for about 5 minutes before she starts blocking up and starts losing track of what she was saying. It did make for a longer shoot but definitely a lot of more fun.
